As a TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) certified trainer, ACSM certified Exercise Physiologist, and having completed Level 1 of the LPGA teaching program, my goal is to create a complete golf experience for golfers to reach their highest playing potential. Through understanding how the body functions in relation to the golf swing I help golfers improve their weaknesses, mobility, flexibility, capitalize on strengths, and find their most effective swing. A properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible. Physical limitations can adversely affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury. I believe that the most efficient swing is not the same for every golfer, because efficiency is unique to the individual. To achieve an efficient swing, a golfer will first be assessed using the Body-Swing Connection assessment. This will assess movement quality, physical fitness, biomechanics, and swing mechanics. The results are used to create a unique individualized training program that will help you develop the most efficient swing that your body can produce by integrating flexibility, core, balance, plyometric, and resistance exercises specific to golf. I use an integrated training approach to focus on developing functional strength and neuromuscular efficiency. This approach directs training to the entire human movement system through all planes of motion. I believe that there is not one way to swing a golf club, but rather an infinite number of swing styles. But there is one efficient way for every player to swing and it is based on what the player can physically do. I believe in teaching the importance of the body and how it relates to the golf swing.
